Cultural Event dedicated to Fès

Marsam2, “Maison d'Edition d'Art,” a gallery of contemporary art, will hold a cultural meeting on Dec. 8 in Casablanca. Ahmed Taeib Laâlaj will meet his public to sign his portfolio entitled “Spleen de Fès” published by Editions MARSAM.

Spleen de fès', which presents the work of two artists, Ahmed Taieb Laâlaj and Mohammed Krich, is dedicated to the city of Fès.

With a mixture of dialect and classical Arabic, Laâlaj will present the history and civilisation of the imperial city with its multiple facets.

The literary texts of Laâlaj are translated to French and English.

Mohammed Krich, who has made many collective and individual exhibitions in Morocco and abroad, has 6 masterpieces in the portfolio devoted to Fès.

Krich, who obtained a UNESCO certificate within the framework of safeguarding of the Medina of Fez in 1978, has carried out a study on the history of Fès.

“Spleen de Fès” is one of the 30 portfolios published by Editions MARSAM in the “Offrande” collection.

The concept of the portfolio is to join painting with writing. It includes poetic or literary texts and a series of works of art by eminent Moroccan and foreign artists.

Dedicated to fans of art, these graphic works are said to be an original gift and a significant artistic exploration.
