After my futile attempt to order a pizza in the Ville Nouvelle the other day, I am pleased to report that I have sampled the first pizza by Pizza Mike. Mike is an English guy with a passion for Fez and for cooking and, against the odds, has managed to get to the brink of being able to open a pizza shop in the Medina.
Last night he arrived at Dar Mernissi with slices of pizza which he had prepared and then had cooked at a local bakery. The result was delicious and now all he needs to do is get all the paperwork done in order to open what should be a highly successful enterprise. We wish him well and look forward to the first official slice of pizza da Fez!
