Casablanca-Madrid with Spanair

The Spanish air company Spanair has launched three weekly flights linking Casablanca to Madrid. The route, operational since last June, is part of the Spanair's expansion plan to increase its flights towards international destinations and meet the increasing demand in the business class travel.

Spanair S.A., is a Spanish airline “Member of the SAS Group”, and was founded in December of 1986 by SAS and the Spanish company Teinver. Flight operations began at the end of March 1988 and since then almost 87* million passengers have flown with Spanair. At the beginning of its airline activity, Spanair operations comprised international charter flights, transporting tourists to Spain from over 100 European airports.

With a fleet of 64 aircraft they run more than 600 flights per day to more than 240 destinations. Since April 2003, the company has become member of the international network "Star Alliance".

The new flights will also link various international destinations through Madrid, notably Stockholm, Copenhagen, Frankfort, Munich and Zurich.
