Baroque at Batha - a Fez Festival Highlight


Friday afternoon 's concert at the Batha Museum was a sublime performance of Baroque music by the German ensemble, Cantus Colln, directed by Konrad Junghane.

The programme began with pieces by Buxtehude and Rosenmuller, and finished with two works by JS Bach. "The best Bach I've ever heard", said a regular Festival visitor.

The group consisted of two violins, two violas and an organ, along with the two sopranos, an alto, tenor and bass. Konrad Junghane is a renowned lutist specialising in work from the Renaissance to the end of the 18th century.
