At last - Sunshine in Fez!

After weeks of wet weather, floods and cold winds, the sunshine has returned. And the forecast is for days of fine weather with temperatures between 9 at night and 20 during the day (Celsius) el-Humdullilah!

A dog enjoys the warmth as a flock of birds do a fly past.

In the first rays of sunlight a man lays his tanned hides out to dry.

I hope I caught you before you go to the bookshop for the bird book, I just wanted to suggest that you get a english dictionary at the same time.

Look up the 2 words, 'moderation' and 'censorship'.

Everyone is welcome to their point of view. Anonymous kindly pointed out that our writer had mistaken a bird (!) - we corrected it but didn't bother to publish the comment because it didn't have the correct name either and so was not constructive. We checked and to our knowledge we did not spell either of the words incorrectly. A couple of our writers have English as a second language and so mistakes happen from time to time. However, as I am sure most of our readers agree it is the spirit of the writing that matters and in that our gang are tops!

Is the weather in Fes usually good at this time of the year? I had planned a trip in October next year because I was told that it would be a good time, with mild weather. Now I see you have been having rain and floods!

I would appreciate your thoughts as I would hate to need an umbrella. I want to escape from rain.

Thanks Majid - (I will be back November 15 for a tagine with you).

Anonymous - the weather has been unusual and normally Spring and Autumn (Fall) are really good. I prefer spring because of the wild flowers. But that said - almost any time except the depth of winter when it gets down to freezing in Fez.
