Fez is increasingly becoming a favoured location for workshops and conferences. Writers retreats and workshops continue to draw people to the medina and surrounds. Now there is a chance for Moroccan photographers to take part in a stimulating photography workshop run by respected industry professionals.
Fez - a photogenic gem |
Fez Photography Workshop has announced it’s offering up to two scholarships for emerging Moroccan photographers to participate in its workshop Thursday 5th June to Friday June 13th, 2014. The scholarship is open to young Moroccan photographers living and working in Morocco who are keen to further their storytelling, image composing skills and camera technique in a stimulating and expert environment with visiting photographers from other countries. Interested photographers need to send a short biography and 7 to 10 examples of their work or links to their work online to review@moroccophotographyexpeditions.com by end of day 22nd May.
Fez Photography Workshop provides instruction in story creation, techniques, mixing traditional photography and multi media and is run by photographers David Bathgate and John Horniblow. The scholarship covers instruction and participation in the workshop and publishing opportunities. Successful winners will need to accommodate themselves in Fez. The successful participants should own or be able to bring good digital camera (and preferably a laptop computer – not essential).
