Morocco's Weather Turns Cold ~ Again.

The notion the Morocco is a warm and sunny destination in winter is taking a hit at the moment, with cold winds, snowfalls and plummeting temperatures in many areas of the Kingdom

Ifrane under a blanket of snow and more expected 

The Meteorological Department has issued a special bulletin covering the period from today (Wednesday) until Saturday warning that temperatures will drop as low as -10 degrees Celsius. Significant snowfalls are expected in most areas over 900 metres. This includes the Rif, the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas.

Temperatures during the day may fall to zero degrees in  areas of Ifrane, Boulemane, Sefrou, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Taza, Al Haouz, Tinghir Midelt, Khenifra and Guercif.

Temperatures of between -05 and 00 at night and 00 to 06 day  are expected in the regions of Chedchaouen, El Hajeb, El Hoceima, Khouribga, Jerada, Oujda, Figuig, Taourirt, Berkane, Taounate, Taroudant, Chichaoua and Ouarzazate.

Strong to strong winds of between 50 and 70 kmph are forecast for Wednesday in Tangier, Fahs Anjra, M'diq Fnideq, Tetouan and Larache and from 09h to 21h in areas of Jrada, Taourirt, Figuig, Boulmane, Guercif and Midelt, and on the Mediterranean coast between Berkane and Al Hoceima.
