The decision to hold the Sufi Festival in mid-October seems to have been the right one. At this stage the weather forecast looks good, with warm days and pleasant evening temperatures.
The first day of the festival (Saturday 14th) should have a top temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and an evening low of 19.
Sunday will be slightly cooler at 35 Celsius down to 19 at night.
The temperature drops a little further on Monday, with the high expected to be only 33 and 18 at night.
From Tuesday through until Saturday the temperatures should be extremely pleasant, ranging between highs around 30 Celsius and night time lows of 14.
Some people on social media had expressed concern about tropical storm Ophelia, born just three days ago around the Azores, Portuguese islands located in the North Atlantic. The weather system was thought to have the potential to approach Morocco. However the weather gurus say no.
"Morocco is not concerned," Lhoussain Youabd, head of the communications department at the National Meteorological Department, told HuffPost Morocco . "The most probable route of the storm is northern Portugal. It can even remain right in the North Atlantic without touching the country but may simply produce some rain," he said.
