Moroccan reaction to Rachida Dati

Ms. Dati’s parents wouldn’t even have been allowed to enter France under Sarkozy’s proposed immigration policies, and that’s just one of the reasons I find her so hypocritical. - Morocco Times

While many in France have applauded Rachida Dati's rise to power as French Justice Minister, the reaction of the Moroccans and many in the French community in Morocco has been muted. "She has no experience and is just there to look good," said one cynical commentator.

Others went further. Morocco Times wrote a cutting critique - Rachida Dati - A French Oreo. This may be a bit harsh, but time will tell.

I read Morocco Time report - and found it interesting. I think your remark about time will tell is probably right. It will be interesting to see how she goes... a bit of a Condie Rice? And she was a fizzer.

A cynical appointment.

It does look like that - but let us all wait and see. She may change her ways./

She may turn out fine - if she listens to her people in the community. For the sake of France I do hope it is so. Inch'Allah.

France needs to build bridges to its North African people in a much better way than in the past.

The new President does not have a good record in this regard, but we remain wishing him to change to having a good heart.

From Canada. Missing Madelaine Mcann - 4 year old abducted. Please post her picture again and link to the fina Maddy web site. It would seem that someone somewhere knows something. We should have a global "search for Maddy" day where everyone in every country goes out and talks to thier neighbors, ask to be shown around thier homes and take a picture with them. At the very least it may force whoever has her to try and move and they could be then be noticed. I for one would do this here in Calgary Canada. Someone could end up traveling and spot her with the awareness fresh in thier mind.
