The whole world seems to be heading here for The Fès Sacred Music Festival and the result is a shortage of accommodation. However we have some good news. Forget the ritzy hotels (just like anywhere in the world) and instead you can stay in the real Fès and stay in the Old Medina in a traditional riad. A good friend of The View From Fès now runs an online site that allows you to select one of several riads and dars that are available for rent. The View From Fès can personally recommend Dar Bennis and Dar Seffarine both of which are superb.
But check the site out and make your own choice.
