Sebta and Melilia back on agenda

Yesterday in our News Briefs, we reported on the formation of the Moroccan Renaissance and Virtue Party, the PRV. You may also remember that a month ago we ran a series of stories on the occupied cities of Sebta and Melilia - well, now the two stories have come together. During the constitutive assembly, which took place Saturday in Bouznika, the party called for “finding a way to recover the occupied cities of Sebta and Melilia.”

The party also called for the immediate and unconditional release of people held prisoners in Tindouf camps, “like all other political actors we are supporting with HM King Mohammed VI the general mobilisation to defend the integrity of our Sahara and to guarantee its unity and stability.”

The PRV has also expressed its rejection of “the western countries' policy in the management of Iraq's problem,” demanding the withdrawal of the occupation troops.
