From time to time we post articles about the high prices being paid for property in the historic Fez Medina. Now we can turn the tables and report that there are a number of houses at bargain prices.
Today we came across an 8 room house in a good area for the amazing price of only 18,000 euros. That is under 200,000 dirham.
We will be doing a thorough inspection of the property in the next few days and because this is a private sale we would be happy to make contact with people genuinely interested in restoring a home in Fez.
We can be contacted at fes.riad@gmail.com
The View from Fez has no commercial interest in this house.

just found your blog and finding it very entertaining as we prepare for a trip to Morocco for the last 2 weeks of December. hope we're not crazy as there's counsel online to avoid public transport during Eid-alAdha and we're coming in via Algeciras with having to catch a return flight home to Chicago on New Year's Day. we're not so crazy to spend New Year's Eve in Morocco and will be in Spain for that. Anyway, my whole point to comment is to alert you to some more travel writing, a young British surfer wanker's experience: http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/kris/nostophobia/1162215000.html
