Ronaldo to visit Morocco

It seems a day of news about celebrities - our previous story was about Haifa Wahbi - now comes news that Brazil's international soccer player, Ronaldo Luiz Nazario De Lima, is visiting Morocco in December, part of a mission in favour of children.

The Real Madrid player told on Friday the Spanish daily "ABC" he will visit Morocco to try help children by his presence. "I was not born in a Favela (slum), but I grew in a very poor community and I know what poverty means," he said.

In May 2005, he visited Israel and the Palestine, as Goodwill Ambassador of the UNDP.

Ronaldo was propelled to international fame due to his skills. He received many awards, including the World Best Soccer Player, Bravo Award-Best Foreign Player in the Italian Championship and the World Cup title (1994 and 2002).

Hi Samir, There are actually two Ronaldos. The one pictured is not the Brazillian who plays for Real Madrid.

He is actually Christiano Ronaldo who plays for Manchester United and Portugal.

You should remember him because we watched his team knock England out of the world cup together in R'cif.
