Ryanair - Europe to Morocco on hold.

Ryanair's postponed flights from France and Germany into Fez are remain on hold as the air services harmonisation agreement has still not been signed.

Ryanair had been embarrassed by jumping the gun and offering flights from as early as the beginning of November and then had to cancel tickets causing disruption for hundreds of would-be travelers.

According to sources inside the EU in Brussels the agreement may be signed on December 12.

The ten EU members were not ready, according to Brussels, to sign the agreement that would see Morocco's air transport rules aligned more closely with EU rules. The ten EU members states are: Belgium, France, Hungary, France, the Czech Republic, Finland, Italy, Portugal, Poland and Greece.

It is expected that once the agreement goes ahead it will give a major boost to Moroccan tourism.
