13th Mediterranean Film Festival

Thirty-five movies will compete for the Grand Prix in feature film, short film and documentary sections, at the 13th International Festival of Mediterranean Cinema, that begins on March 24-31 in Tetuan.

The selection committee for the festival have been hard at work screening more than five hundred films from all countries of the Mediterranean in order to make their selection for the competition.

In the category "documentaries", ten films are in race and the Canary Islands, the Italian cinema and the Festival International du Documentaire de Marseille will be the honorary guests of this festival.

The visitors will also have the opportunity to sample a series of selected Egyptian films produced over two decades.

Besides the official competition, the event will host an international seminar on "History, cinema and memory," as well as meetings on "Cooperation between Euro-Mediterranean cinematographic schools," and "New technologies and the future of cinema." Sounds like a good time to make a visit to Tetuan.
