It is not very often that we miss a new face in the Medina - but now we must confess that Siobhan Kierans has not only visited Fez, but bought a house - all without our spies finding out about her. So we set out to discover a little more... El Glaoui reports:
Now, being resourceful types, we have been doing a little sniffing around. We checked with the Purple Circle and were perturbed that even they appeared to know little - however, one member eventually sent a boy with a cryptic message - Seek out the Tribe of Doris - scribbled on a piece of paper.Tribe of Doris? Had he been smoking kif? Spending too long in the hammam - or still in a trance from the Sufi Night?
We dug deeper and discovered that there is in fact a very special tribe - Tribe of Doris - and the chief mugwamp - the head honcho - the muqaddam - is Siobhan Kierans ( so maybe that should have been muqaddama?). We also learned that she may well be involved with the Fes Sacred Music Festival.
It seems that the mysterious Siobhan will materialise in the Fez Medina in early April - our search we be renewed then and hopefully we can report back with more information.
