New Moroccan face in the blogosphere

Visitors are constantly amazed at the way Moroccans in the Medina of Fez have integrated modern technology into their traditional lives. Not only do many of them have mobile phones (with cameras of course) but also mp3 players around their necks. Now blogging is growing.

Last year one of the Medina's top plaster craftsmen, Abbelkader, approached us to help him start a blog where he could display his skills and expertise. Now it is the turn of Karima who works as an English language interpreter and translator

Karima is very skilled at working with foreigners and acting as a translator. Over the past year her work has involved organising the logistics for a British film crew, working on the marketing of an art gallery and assisting us in the catering arrangements for our Sufi night on March 25. Later this month we hear a rumour that she will also be working with Fez Riads - So Karima is a woman on the move.

Karima asked if we could help her set up a blog so that she could refer people to it before they arrive in Morocco so they could see if she might help in any way. It was our pleasure to assist and you will find her and her contact details on her blog at: Karima in Fez

Awesome! Just a heads up - I checked out her blog, and the "call me outside of Morocco" number has the 0 where it shouldn't (wasn't sure if I should comment here or there)

Looking forward to Sunday!
