Hassan Jamil - An artist in Fez.

When we reported on the new art gallery in the Fez Medina we mentioned that the director, while being a painter in his own right, was the son of the well known Fassi artist Hassan Jamil.

Today we caught up with Hassan Jamil and discovered that he also runs a second gallery. The other revelation was that as well as his superb paintings of the Medina he is very accomplished in a number of different genres. In particular we were impressed by the work he described as "modern art".
