Behind the scenes at the festival
The Fes Festival is supported by a large crew - from Directors General to administrative and logistics people, those who find sponsorship, stage managers, electricians and techies, the web master, press and communications staff, directors of the Festival in the City and the Rencontres, and of course the artistic director who finds the musicians.
Someone rarely recognised, but without whom nothing at all would happen, is Ali Dioury. Ali is the Production Manager, responsible for the whole show.
Not exactly behind the scenes is Chris Ekers, the Sound Engineer, and his assistant Eric Loots. You can always spot Chris with his startling array of equipment behind the audience at the Batha Museum, or in the sound booth half-way down Bab al Makina. This is the tenth year that Chris has sound-managed the Fes Festival and bringing all that equipment from the UK is some mean feat!
The View from Fes salutes the whole team!
