Dar Tassa long listed in Major Tourism Award

Nominations for our Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards are now closed and out of the almost 600 orgaisations that were nominated some twenty-four have been long listed in the "mountain categaory".

The View from Fez is happy to break the news that one of our favourite mountain retreats - Dar Tassa is on that list.

Here is what Brahim Barkhouche, the owner of Dar Tassa had to say,

"Dar Tassa is one of 24 organisations shortlisted in the Best in a mountain environment category. This category is for an organisation related to a mountain environment, such as an Eco-friendly ski resort or a trip that contributes to the welfare of mountain porters This is a testament to the hard work & the keeping with the Responsible tourism ethos of Dar Tassa" .

Dar Tassa - the views are spectacular.

The 2009 Responsible Tourism Award winners will be announced at World Travel Market on Wednesday 11 November, and in The Daily Telegraph the following weekend.

The Responsible Tourism Awards are the most prestigious awards of their kind in the world and are a collaboration between online travel directory responsibletravel.com, who founded and organise the Awards, UK media partners Telegraph Travel and Geographical Magazine, BBC World News, and World Travel Market, who host the Awards ceremony.
