Monster Storm Hits Fez

At 2.30 pm local time, the previously sunny day which had appeared to be clearing from an early morning rainy period, darkened over. Moving in fast, the storm was announced by a violent electrical storm. Then, for the second time in the last few weeks the skies opened up and the city was on the receiving end of a hail storm with some hailstones the size of marbles.

Some minor flooding in the streets was experienced, but so far there have been no reports of damage.

By 3.30 the worst was over and the wind dropped to 11 KPH from the South West. Humidity is around 72%. The pressure is at 760 but rising slowly

More storms are expected tomorrow.
