Agadir Customs Light Huge Hashish Bonfire


On Wednesday the Regional Directorate of Customs in Agadir incinerated a large quantity of drugs that had been confiscated at Agadir Ida Outanane during the period from November 2011 to February 2015

According to Alae Lâachoub, an officer of Customs and Excise in Agadir, the operation was conducted under the supervision of the General Prosecutor of Agadir along with the participation of local authorities and the relevant legal committee.

The bonfire consumed over 7.77 tons of chira (hashish), over 4.48 tons of kif (marijuana), 936 kg of chewing tobacco, 381 kg of contraband cigarettes. 272 psychotropic tablets, 39.5 grams of cocaine, 285 bottles of alcohol, 118 kg of nefha  (snuff) and 175 kg of mâajoune (a paste made from cannabis, mixed with dried fruits, nuts, honey and spices).
