Morocco: Cell Planning War Broken Up

Morocco's security services have arrested 44 members of the Jamaat Ansar El Mehdi (El Mehdi Support Group) and confiscated lab equipment, explosives and propaganda, state news agency MAP reported Aug. 7, quoting an Interior Ministry statement. The statement said the group planned to conduct a holy war in the country's northeast regions of Nador and Quezzane. The group included five armed forces members and planned to obtain funding through robberies of banks and money transports.
