A Swedish businessman has reportedly gone on trial in Morocco, charged with terrorist links.
According to the newspaper “Dagens Nyheter”, the 54 year old holds both Swedish and Moroccan citizenship, and has lived in Sweden for thirty years. He was arrested the day after Christmas.
The Moroccan authorities say 26 people were detained, accused of being members of a cell that recruited volunteers to carry out terrorist attacks in Iraq.
The Swedish Embassy in Rabat has sent a representative to the trial, but Morocco has never officially notified the Swedish authorities of the arrest.

Why do you only call him "swedish" when he is a dual citizen, and was living in Morocco? Why not call him Moroccan? I'm guessing that's what he would call himself, since he was living in Morocco, eh?
Because he lives most of his life in Sweden - and also because we are quoting a Swedish news source! Also - you will notice we DO mention he has duel citizenship
Well, Craig, the Swedish embassy in Morocco considers him a Swede, and if he's Swedish enough for them, then he should also be Swedish enough for you...
Btw, Swedish papers and television channels have covered this arrest extensively, and it so happens that they also consider him a Swede...
