Faces in the Fez Medina
Today, two faces that will be new to all but the most dedicated Medina watches. The tilt of the head of our subject above is a dead giveaway - he is obviously a renovator and as soon as he walks into a room he inspects the beams and rafters. The man is Andy.
He has been in the Medina for some time now and purchased two properties, one of which is well on the way to completion. This is obviously a very positive thing judging by the way he talked about "the final coat of paint".
When he is not in Fez, Andy has a enviable job in the UK where he is involved in the catering side of all the major festivals - half his luck! The talk of going back to do Glastonbury (the folk festival) was enough to turn me green with envy. He is off to England shortly but expects to be back for a short time in April.
Our man below comes from a world of fast cars - in fact, they don't come any faster than Formula One in which he has been involved for years. Taking a "year off" Richard, also from England is a rarity. He is not buying a house! At least, not at the moment. His passion is a deeply felt quest for understanding the world and at the moment that means delving into the world of the Sufis. We wish him well.
