The Orientalist Art Gallery had a Friday night opening of an exhibition featuring four painters: Abdelmalek Alaoui, Hassan Allaoui, Abdelali Belal and Mohamed Krich (who we featured last year).
The gallery owner, Aziz Karmouni was on hand with his usual warm welcome to the guests, who also included the featured artists. The crowd attending was a good mix of locals and expatriates with bloggers and renovators Jon and Jenny, David Amster, and Australian Josephine who is still on a high from her son's wedding in Fez which we reported on in an earlier post.

Mohamed Krich
Once again Mohammed Krich had fine works on display and if price is any indication of popularity, he continues to impress with works in the style he has become well known for.

This work, La Porte, was the stand out piece at the exhibition. The sense of place as well as the colour and texture were handled extremely well. Most of his other works were also of a very high standard but his still life (nature morte) works lacked the depth of the work pictured above.
