Today's entry comes from Chandra Chase.

Chandra took this picture of a stork (they have a wonderfully onomatopoeic local name - lac-lac!) on her recent visit to Fez. You will find stories of her travels here: Chandraland

You have been misinformed, Bell-arge is the dareeja for stork, The other word you mention is close to the classic arabic.

Thanks George. Yes, we knew that, but all our locals call them "lac-lac".

I call them both! Lac lac & bill-arge. Ilike lac-lac as it is the sound they make.
