ALIF Photography Club

The Arabic Language Institute in Fez (ALIF) is to launch a Photography Club at their Riad in the medina, to be run by photographer Omar Chennafi.

The aim is to promote cross-cultural communication and creative expression while providing an opportunity to practice language skills through photography. The 10-week course is open to all American Language Centre and ALIF students, as well as the general public.

Subjects covered in the course will be the history and art of photography, lighting (indoor and out), composition, camera use and the use of software to produce a finished product. There will be field trips, one-on-one reviews of work and an exhibition.

To find out more, contact Omar at 06 59 66 15 02 or at alifphotoclub@gmail.com.

This is a photography club, more than a class. It's open to both Moroccans and foreigners interested in photography. The first meeting will be Saturday July 2, at ALIF/ALC in the Ville Nouvelle from 10-12.
